Akshardham Temple | Delhi Akshardham Temple

Akshardham Temple is one of the largest Hindu temples in India located in Noida More, Pandav Nagar area of ​​New Delhi. This temple is dedicated to Lord Swaminarayan.

Akshardham Temple has been constructed by the Sri Akshar Purushottam Swaminarayan Sanstha of Bochasan. Pramukhswami Maharaj, the fifth successor of the spiritual tradition of Lord Swaminarayan, was instrumental in the construction of this temple.

Akshardham Temple is spread over 100 acres of land. Pink stone and white marble stones were used in its construction, the main temple was built without the use of steel. This temple decorated with carved columns, domes and 20,000 sculptures is very divine. Akshardham Temple was inaugurated on 6 November 2005 and was opened to the general public on 8 November 2005.

The main gate of the Akshardham temple is defined as follows.

Das Dwar : These gates symbolize the ten directions, which display Vedic wishes.
Bhakti Door : This gate is of traditional Indian style. There are 208 forms of devotion and worship worshiped in the Bhakti Gate.
Peacock Door : Peacock, the national bird of India, has always loved God as a symbol of its beauty, self-control and purity. Here, 869 peacocks of interlocked grand peacock toranas and ornate pillars are dancing in the reception. This is a masterpiece of craftsmanship.

Akshardham Temple is also known as Swaminarayan Akshardham Temple. This temple reflects the culture, spirituality and architecture of the country. Being the largest Hindu temple complex in the world, it was included in the Guinness Book of World Records on 26 December 2007.
